Henrico Teacher Not Guilty of Assault

Henrico public school teacher, K. Taylor, was found not guilty of assault stemming from an incident that occurred on May 28, 2008 at John Rolfe Middle School in Henrico County.  In a case argued by Horace Hunter of the law firm of Hunter & Lipton LLP, Judge Steverson dismissed the charges against Taylor citing a lack of evidence.

The case involved an alleged threat made by Taylor against Orlando Beale, a fellow teacher at John Rolfe Middle School, after a verbal altercation between the two.  In dismissing the case against Taylor, Judge Steverson indicated that even if believed, the evidence against Taylor was wholly insufficient to find him guilty of the crime of assault. After the case, Taylor expressed his gratitude at having been vindicated in this case.
