Horace F. Hunter
Horace F. Hunter has been practicing in his own law firm since graduating from the William and Mary School of Law in 1999. In that time, he has handled a wide range of legal matters—the majority in the area of criminal defense—ranging from drug offenses and petty theft to homicide and sex offenses. He is extremely devoted to his clients, and regardless of the crime for which a person has been charged, Mr. Hunter will fight with a level of dedication that is unmatched. He knows that people’s lives and livelihood are often at stake when facing serious criminal charges, and he understands the responsibility of representing individuals accused of committing crimes.
A native of Richmond, Virginia, Mr. Hunter graduated high school from Fork Union Military Academy in 1992. He received his B.A. in English from Florida A&M University, and graduated from the William & Mary School of Law in 1999 with a Juris Doctor.
Mr. Hunter’s primary practice areas are criminal defense, commercial litigation, and personal injury law. He is a member of the Virginia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, and the Virginia State Bar.
Douglas A. Lipton
Douglas A. Lipton is of counsel to the law firm of Hunter & Lipton, PC and was a founding member in February 2007. He currenlty serves as the dean of the Shenandoah School of Pharmacy. Previously, he served as a corporate attorney with First Health Services Corporation in Glen Allen, Virginia where he negotiated, drafted, and reviewed health care service contracts, consulting agreements, intellectual property contracts, license agreements, and state contracts. He has also worked with Penn, Stuart & Eskridge, practicing in the area of medical malpractice defense, and the Office of the Commonwealth Attorney in Bristol, Virginia, prosecuting criminal cases.
Mr. Lipton is a native of Brunswick and received his B.S. in Pharmacy from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1995. He graduated from the William & Mary School of Law in 1999 with a Juris Doctor. He is also a licensed pharmacist.
